PRESS RELEASE: Oneida Indian Territory Residents Oppose Evictions

    TRIBAL COURT DATE SET
    DECEMBER 28/2000 @3:00 pm

Native families on the 32 acre Oneida Indian Territory have been
given until midnight, January 14, 2001 to leave their homes or face
forcible eviction by the non-Native "Oneida Nation Police" acting on
the orders of Arthur Raymond Halbritter, the self
proclaimed "Representative" of the Oneida Nation.
The Oneidas targeted for eviction are plaintiffs in a lawsuit which
challenges the legitimacy of the Halbritter regime and his hand
picked "men's council"  and seeks a return to a traditional,
    democratic government.  ..READ THE RELEASE...

Should federal officers be allowed to not only disregard federal laws but also flaunt their actions in cyber-space? Note:....
...One would expect federal officers, paid to uphold and enforce the law, to both abide by it and respect it.
Apparently, that is not the case with FBI Agent Ed Wood.

1763: Angry white vigilantes, called "the Paxton Boys" will break into a building housing the 14 CONESTOGA, Pennsylvania Indians not killed in the attack on December 14th. The whites will kill all of the Indians, including women and children, while they prayed. Benjamin Franklin will write the broadside "Narrative of the late massacres in lancaster county" condemning the white attackers for brutalizing the innocent conestogas.

1858: Today, 20 Texans, led by indian-fighter Peter Garland, attack a peaceful group of ANADARKO and CADDO camped on Keechi Creek, near the Brazos River Reservation. The Texans will kill 7 Indians while they were sleeping.
According to some reports, the Texas Rangers refused to arrest Garland for the unprovoked murders. A grand jury set up to investigate the murders charged ANADARKO Chief Jose Maria (Iesh) with horse stealing, instead.
